A few years ago, I decided it was time for a career change, so I left my job teaching in South Korea and took up coding. Fast forward a bit and I've earned an Associate's degree in computer programming and web development.
While I miss my life living abroad, this new field of work has proven enriching in its own right, and I look forward to each new project I begin.

I have a website built with Laravel and backed by a MySQL database as well as various other small projects. On the projects page you can read descriptions of each project and which technologies were used to make it, try the application out yourself, or simply view the project's code repository.

I've used JavaScript, PHP, and Laravel to build the website BarrierDown.com, designed a small MS Access database for the town of Westport, and tutored Oracle and JavaScript to college-level students.
I also have extensive skills developed over years of teaching abroad. These include public speaking, working collaboratively, and cross-cultural awareness.
